Prevention through Partnership
Improving Outcomes for Children, Young People and Families with Multiple Problems
(funded by the Department for Education)
Welcome to the Prevention through Partnership Programme online resource bank. This Programme is working to build partnerships that will lead specifically to early interventions preventing children and young people taking on inappropriate caring roles in families affected by parental mental ill health, substance misuse or who maybe in trouble with the law.
Contains National guidance and justifications for whole family working and a range of resources and tools to support local developments.
The voice of young people and families are central to adopting an effective whole family approach. This area provides messages from young people we have consulted with and will be updated over the life of the project as we talk to young people about this programme. It also contains tools and resources to support consultation with young people in your local area.
Over the last 15 years young carers have told us that schools play a vital role in identifying and supporting them to reduce or prevent inappropriate caring roles. Here is a range of resources that have been developed to support awareness raising, training, support provision and pupil awareness in schools.
Want to share whole family working with your staff and colleagues? We can provide bespoke training, contact us for more information
