Include Partnership Training Programme

The Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF) are funding The Children's Society, in partnership with The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, to deliver national training, information and examples of best practice to Local Authorities, Health Providers and Voluntary Sector.  Using practice guidance and standards written for the Department for Children, Families and Schools (DCFS), and helping your authority to deliver Every Child Matters outcomes to this vulnerable group, the project aims to ensure that young carers get a more responsive, whole family and needs-led service

Local Authority Training

The programme is  delivering training to one Local Authority in each of the 9 Government Regions in England. Delivery has completed in Nottinghamshire, Bristol, Thurrock, and is ongoing in Wandsworth, Shropshire, Slough, Calderdale, Salford and Stockton on Tees.

The Include Project can offer support to all  Local Authorities via  online resources and information. A  range of  toolkits for Local Authorities is available to help with the development of strategies,  protocols and inform working practices to meet Every Child Matters Outcomes . It will help establish a ‘No Wrong Door – Whole Family Approach’ to working with these families (‘Think Family: Improving the life chance for families at risk’ (2008, The Social Inclusion Task Force).

Contact us on 01962 711511 to find out more about the training we  can offer.
